Biography:
Learning Technologist in the Division of Nursing, University of Nottingham, since 2003. Prior to that I worked in Computer-Aided Language Learning (CALL) on various projects in the Language Institute at the University of Hull, for 10 years. Although no longer directly working in languages, I 'keep my hand in' by studying and through involvement in EUROCALL (www.eurocall-languages.org.uk/), a transational organisation dedicated to languages and e-learning. I've been learning Scottish Gaelic for some years, as a part-time distance learner, and prior to that learnt Italian to a level of near-fluency.
