It's essentially a method of keeping in touch with what you're passionate about from one central point. That could involve commenting on your friend's pictures, holding conversations on message boards, joining groups to support a cause or becoming a fan of a band to keep updated on their latest releases.

What is online Media Sharing?
Media sharing sites really came about as requirements to distribute large files stretched beyond the limitations of email. Using external hosting companies, people were able to share pictures, audio, video and presentations without clogging up their inbox. After a bit of branding was added, these sites exploded with millions of files being uploaded and commented on every day.

What are Blogs & Microblogs?
Blogging is a way for you to tell the world what's on your mind an d is one of the most widespread uses of the Internet today. What is Social Bookmarking?
When you're browsing the Internet you will probably bookmark sites that are of interest to you or bookmark pages that you want to read when you have more time. Social Bookmarking now allows you to look at pages which other people recommend, which means you spend less time browsing for what you want and more time actually looking at it.

What are Feed Aggregators?
As you can see above, there are lots of ways you can stay in touch with your friends (and Monster's) online activity. As a way of truncating the information you want to receive (and excluding the information you don') Feed Aggregators allow you to pick and choose which feeds you're interested in.
